BAKER HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

Baker Historic Neighborhood Association (BHNA) is the registered neighborhood organization for the area bounded by 6th Avenue, Lincoln Street, Mississippi Avenue, and the South Platte River.

The Baker neighborhood is a diverse, dynamic neighborhood located in the urban core of Denver, Colorado. First plotted and developed in the 1870s, Baker has played a central role in the history of Denver. 

Today Baker is a vibrant neighborhood known for its eclectic population and beautiful, preserved historic homes. It includes Broadway's Main Street, which offers a variety of shopping, casual and fine dining, and entertainment options. Additionally, it's more walkable than much of Denver and residents have easy access to mass transit

Neighbors, we need your help! 2026 BHNA Board of Director nominations are open until November 3rd. All members are welcome and encouraged to serve on next year's Board.

All positions are open including: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three At-Large Directors.

The Baker Historic Neighborhood Association is dedicated to making your life better in Baker.

We serve as your direct connection to the broader city. Our volunteer Board and Committees work year-round to support our members and the community. Maintaining our activities requires a $5,000 annual commitment. With a small annual gift, you can help us continue important initiatives like community events, regular meetings, our website, monthly newsletters, and neighborhood advocacy. Your support is vital; you can contribute as little as $15 to $30 a year.
