Denver Porchfest here in Baker was a huge success with a guesstimated attendee number at 25K
Our first Baker Cornhole classic was also a success.
Denver Summit broke ground October 1 for their stadium and are forecasting a late summer 2028 opening.
Reminder: The bookmobile is at La Familia Recreation Center every Tuesday from 3:00–5:30 p.m. Community members can pick up holds, check out library materials, get tech help, and ask library staff questions.
City Council At-Large Seat B Candidate's Forum that was held at Bar 404 was taped and is available on the South Broadway Gid website.
Halloween Parade is Saturday, October 17 , 6 - 9 from 5th to Virginia
South Broadway Bar Crawl to raise money in support of the parade is October 24th. Get your tickets at the South Broadway Denver.org site. There is also a non-alchoholic option. And get a 20% discount because you live in Baker with a BAKER20 promor code.
Halloween Carnival, October 25, 1-3 Denver Police District 3 Officers at DPD 3 Community Room, 1625 S University Blvd. Games, Prizes, Candy and Face Painting

We have requested DOTI to present on the new sidewalk program and rollout and were told we should wait until they've completed their review of the Sidewalk Survey and suggested early next year. I'm requesting January.
Our next Baker Happy Hour is next Tuesday, October 20th at Walters 303 on Santa Fe from 5 - 7

- Costume Swap was a Success!
  
  Thanks to everyone who came out to the costume swap this past weekend! We had a blast and got to give a second life to some costumes. Anything left was donated to the Denver Tool Library costume swap.
  
  Neighborhood Clean-Up — Sunday, October 18th @11AM
  
  Volunteers needed! Will need a lot of boots on the ground.
  
  Help us beautify Baker after thousands of visitors come for the Broadway Halloween Parade by joining our monthly litter clean-up! We will meet at Dailey Park at 11am, disperse to the streets near Broadway to pick up litter for an hour, then socialize with coffee and snacks afterwards. All supplies are provided and kids are welcome.
