About BHNA
The Baker Historic Neighborhood Association is a Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) recognized by the city of Denver. We hold our monthly membership meetings the second Tuesday of every month except August and December. Meetings are typically (Find out when the next general meeting is by visiting our Events page.) The board also meets once a month.
In addition to the monthly meetings, BHNA also hosts the following activities:
- Happy Hours every other month
- Baker Fest @ Dailey Park and Ice Cream Social late May
- Baker Bargain Bonanza neighborhood-wide yard and makers sales in June
- Home Tour (every 2-3 years) early August
- New! Corn Hole Tournament in September
- Home Halloween Decorations contest October
- Baker Float in Broadway Halloween Parade in October
- Holiday Party in December
Visit the BHNA Bylaws page for more specific information on how BHNA is run. Baker neighborhood is bounded by 6th Ave on the North, Mississippi on the South, Lincoln St on the East and the Platte River on the West. You can find a map of Baker here.
Baker Historic Neighborhood Association was originally founded in the 1970s as Organized Baker Residents (OBR). In 1999, the association changed its name putting "Baker" at the front to make us easier to find and adding "Historic" to reflect the long history of the neighborhood.
