Baker Blooms Beautification - Part Deux

  • 14 Jul 2018

  • 6th Avenue and Bannock Street

Registration is closed

Join us for a continuation of the beautification of our Baker Blooms at 6th Avenue and Bannock Street. The plan is to clear the rest of the weeds July 14th starting at 9 am. Bring gloves and small hand tools. We'll provide rakes, shovels, and bags.

This summer and in future years we'll also spruce up some existing shrubs and perennials, get a few more plants for color and form, and add a couple trees. We’ll be making some of these improvements step by step this summer as our garden is maintained by neighborhood volunteers.

Denver Health provides the water, and this year, they hauled away the all debris from our clean-up efforts in June.

Baker Blooms was created over a decade ago to create a welcoming gateway into our neighborhood where it once was a barren wasteland with lots of broken glass and trash. Denver Health provides the water while Baker provides the planting and labor for a true community endeavor.
