BHNA’s Board of Directors serve one year terms and are up for reelection at the annual meeting in May.

President - Paul Ramsey

Baker’s President is the Rev. Dr. Paul Leon Ramsey.  He’s lived in the Baker neighborhood for the last 14 years and currently resides on Second Avenue between Broadway and Acoma Street.  He has also lived in East Washington Park and Ft. Worth, Texas, but is proud to have called the Baker neighborhood his home for many of the last 38 years.

Paul is the pastor of Mayflower Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in Englewood; he works as a community and leadership consultant and is also a Baker landlord.  He and his wife, Sarah, who is a teacher at Cherry Creek High School, have two daughters, Lucy Jane and Grace Ann, who are three and five years old, respectively.  The Ramseys enjoy reading, sports and other family activities.

Bringing years of community involvement and professional leadership experience to the Baker board, President Ramsey hopes to continue making Baker a friendly, safe and exciting place to live.

Treasurer - Doug Pimple

Treasurer Doug Pimple lives in the condominium building at Bannock Street and West Byers Place, where he moved in 1988.  He has been a member of the Zoning Committee for six months.

Doug worked full-time as an accountant for over 20 years before starting his own part-time tax and accounting services business out of his home in 2002.  He also has some residential rental properties.  He spends his free time volunteering once a week at the Broadway Cop Shop and writing articles for the Baker Bark.  He swims most days at La Familia recreation center and likes going to movies, especially at The Mayan.

Our new Treasurer hasn’t had a car for over ten years (he gets around mainly by RTD and walking in the neighborhood).  He plans to support and promote the great diversity of residents and businesses in the Baker Neighborhood and hopes that Baker can continue to become more pedestrian-friendly.

Director-at-Large - Richard Parker

I have lived at 39 West Irvington Pl since 1984 and have owned the house next door as a rental since 1995. I am married to Karen Parker, have three children and 4 grand children. I am mostly retired today but my profession was Financial Planning, Investments and Tax Preparation. Dancing is a hobby that has gotten me involved on two nonprofit Boards. My other hobbies are genealogy, languages, sign language, biking, hiking and gardening. The cul-de-sac on Irvington Pl has some planted areas that I added a Canadian Red Cherry, perennials, wood chips and a 900lb rock to keep traffic from driving over the sidewalk.
